MMS Settings for TMobile iPhone
At long last the iPhone now has MMS capabilities and if you’re on the TMobile network, you too can take advantage of this great feature. After trying so many different configurations, I finally found one setting that works with sending pictures as well as videos..how sweet is that?
To configure your settings, go to: Settings – General – Network – Cellular Data Network. Please note that I’m using an iPhone 3Gs on firmware 3.1.2.
UPDATE – 07/07/2010 – I just upgraded to IOS4 and these settings still work.
Under the MMS settings use the following values:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576 <--optional

There’s a few of my readers noted that their iphone do not have the Cellular Data Network therefore unable to update their MMS settings. If yours is missing, follow these steps:
1. Open cydia and install winterboard
2. Add source: http://cydia.xsellize.com
3. Search Supreme Preferences 3.0 and install
4. Open winterboard
5. Check it off the supreme preference tab and respring
6. Then go to settings
7. Click supreme preferences tab and go to applications, than go to phone.
8. Cellular data tab: On
9. Click Home, then Settings
10. General – Network – u should now see Cellular Data Network.
If you’re still having problems receiving MMS after completing the steps above, try this video tutorial:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the procedure of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search effects. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more often a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target other kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web comportment.
I have iphone4 and i cant send MMS from my phone. service provider is vf and I am in India. VF dont know the settints yet for my phone…..who can help?

For those who are still looking I found the easiest way to change apn settings: from the iDevice go to http://unlockit.co.nz and follow the instructions.
thanks so much .. worked perfectly the first time!
Thanks sooooo much. I tried everything to get the MMS button to come back after the jailbreak but nothing worked except this. All good now.
This does not work for me. I have tried everything.

Yes i have. I can send pictures, but I can’t receive them
Let me tell you how I solved the problem:
1) Download a program called: Iphone Configuration Utility and install it in your computer.
2) Once installed click on Configuration Profiles then where says “Action Point Name” or APN enter epc.tmobile.com and where says Access Point User Name I entered the same.
3) Click in Mobile Device Management and where says Server URL and Check in URL enter epc.tmobile.com
4) Click on Devices then Configuration Profiles and where says tmobile click on install then sync your iphone, didn’t happen at the first time but I leave my phone connected to the computer and after a while I saw finally the Cellular Network Network, where you also need to enter on all the places where says APN: epc.tmobile.com and finally works.

If you don’t see the Cellular Data Tab, my best advice is to restore the phone via Sn0wbreeze or Pwnage tool.
Another alternative is to go into Cydia and install the Legacy Carrier Bundle.

Does anyone know settings for t-mobile us, 3.1.3, iphone 2G?
Am I stuck since I’m on 3.1.3? Should I downgrade to 3.1.2?
James Replied:

Robert,
Yes you must downgrade to 3.1.2 on the 2G and utilize Blackra1n to jailbreak the phone.
1. Run Blackra1n
2. Instal Cydia only
3. Run Cydia as “User” and then install complete updates when prompted.
4. Open Cydia
5. Select Manage, Sources then select “edit” on top right then “add” on top left.
6. Add source: sinfuliphonerepo.com
7. Once added go back to manage, sources and select the sinfuliphonerepo link and instal the following in this order…
a. Appsync 3.1.x
(allows cracked apps to sync with itunes)
b. Installous (apps for free)
c. Enable MMS for 2G & 3.1
d. YourTube Cracked
(you can save youtube vids to phone)
e. SIManger
(iPhone by default does not save your contacts to the SIM card. This tool allows you to save up to 250 to your SIM Card. Great back up plan and also great for those that do not utilize iTunes to backup)
Hope that helps!
Best,
James
I have a 2g Iphone and when I go to the cellular data section, I see no option for MMS settings. I can’t put in any MMS information. How can I fix this?

Hey again, I successfully switched to t-mobile and followed this guide and got the little camera next to the message bar, however when I send a picture it gets all the way to the end and stops and I get a message saying the content couldnt be displayed due to picture resolution, etc. Thanks for your time.
I tried this and it did not work for my 3g 4.0. When i down load the tmobile tweek and restart the phone . i lose the cell data on the data setting. after i i go go to cydia and remove the tmobile tweek i get get the cell data setting back. any ideas?
Sweet blog, I’ll be checking it out from now on.
Really awesome post here. Thank you for sharing it, I look forward to learning more from you in the future!
Finally, it took me forever to find this!
I’ve change the settings a few times, but it just doesn’t seem to work. I know this post is kind of old, but I see you updated it for iOS4. Can I ask if you have a data plan on your phone if it works? I have no data at the moment, and I want to get it working on the 3 iPhones on my family plan of which 2 do not need data.
do u know how to enable mms on an iphone 3gs unlocked on sn0wbreeze running on ios4?

Jailbroken WIFI Fix!!! This works perfectly. You need to go to cydia on your iphone and follow the PUSH FIX directions. It works prefectly. I’m not good with all the tech stuff and I was able to get my wifi working with ease. Once you install the Wifi fix app, you can always go back and fix your wifi by hitting the app button if it ever goes out again! Good luck…… Heres the link to the directions http://www.redmondpie.com/fix-blacksn0w-wifi-youtube-gps-problem-on-iphone-3.1.2-firmware-9140085/

You can resolve your WiFi issues by resetting your network settings. Go to Settings – General – Reset – Reset Network Settings.
This will reboot the iPhone, once it’s up first check and see if WiFi works. If it works, then start changing the MMS settings.

Not really sure…it should be on there by default. You might want to try resetting your network settings by going to Settings – General – Reset – Reset Network Settings.
Reboot the phone afterwards and check the the APN again.
Found your site by googling mms settings. Found just what I was looking for. By the way, awesome looking blog. The layout is too cool.
