How To Fix EXE Startup Issues and Errors

computer-failureThe capabilities of new computer applications these days are enormous. They let us achieve and do so much more in a very short period of time. Therefore, there is a kind of race going on amongst users to install as many of these new and exciting applications on their PCs. At the core of all these applications are a bunch of EXE or executable files that help these applications realize their potential by performing specified tasks.

The downside of these EXE files is that they are present in large numbers on all PCs. This large quantity of files on a single system increases the chances of one or more of them becoming corrupt, infected, or generating conflict with other files. All these issues then manifest in the form of errors with different symptoms. Out of these, EXE startup issues and errors are quite common.

Keep Your Registry Clean And Prevent Computer Problems

A large number of computer problems originate due to the existence of clutter and lack of cleanliness, both on the outside and inside of the PC. One of the most important computer components that can cause computer problems if not cleaned regularly is the Windows Registry.

The Windows registry is similar to the central nervous system of your body. It contains important information related to the settings and configuration of your operating system, software, hardware and user profiles and must be referred to each and every time an action occurs on your Windows PC. This is the reason why, all Windows computers are totally dependent on the registry to perform their normal functions. Extensive data is added and deleted from the registry while your computer is working. This extensive use of the registry causes it to become easily cluttered and vulnerable to computer errors.

11 Things Not To Tweet About

TwitterWe all know that Twitter is currently the KING of Social Media dethroning Facebook by a large margin. I enjoy using Twitter on a daily basis, sharing stories, finding great links, and connecting with random people from across the globe.

It was great in the beginning but as it becomes over-saturated with users I’m seeing more and more non-sense Tweets…

For all the Twitter newbies out there, there are just things you should not Tweet about:

1 – You don’t have to tweet about every single second of your boring life.

2 – Most users don’t really care if your dog got hit by a car and lost one of its legs.

3 – Don’t ask what you should eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

4 – Leave your depression state of mind out of Twitter.

5 – Don’t ask what you should wear today.

6 – Don’t Twitpic yourself asking if you look OK today.

7 – Don’t send out a link to your favorite porn site.

8 – No more Rick-rolling please…it’s gotten quite old!

9 – Avoid 1, 2, or 3 word Tweets, we have no idea what you mean.

10 – Stop bitchin’ about how slow Twitter has been.

11 – I get it, you’re coffee was too strong, no need to Tweet about it.

How To Remove Categories From Your URL

WordPress

WordPress is my favorite blogging platform but it’s not perfect by all means. There’s still a number of features I would like to see in WordPress, one of them is having the categories to not appear in my url.

I’ve seen and tried various plugins and WordPress hacks but I’m not completely satisfied with the end results.

For Example:

Suppose you have the following url that points to your Health category.

http://www.whatever.com/category/health/

I really hate to see the word category appear in my url, what I want to see is the following:

http://www.whatever.com/health/

Not only does this look nice and clean but it is also great for SEO purposes!

Steps For Troubleshooting EXE Errors

An Overview of EXE Errors

oops25

The software on your computer is stored in a hierarchal structure. On the top is your operating system, for example, Windows or Linux. Under the operating system we have our individual application suits, such as Microsoft Office and Norton Security center. Below these suits we have individual programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or Antivirus, Antispam and Antispyware, respectively. Finally, each of these individual programs comprises one or more EXE or Executable files that are used to perform various tasks. For example, winword.exe is used to launch Microsoft Word and Excel.exe is used to launch the Microsoft Excel application.

This is the reason why from installing a new application to working on that application and using various program features, exe files are required to perform all of these tasks. This is the reason why, you have hundreds of exe files on a single system.
