Project Overview
The Texas electricity market is brutal. Shoppers compare rates, distrust fine print, and often switch plans without calling. Amigo needed a site that could qualify leads by ZIP code, explain plans clearly in both English and Spanish, and reduce the volume of 'how do I choose?' support calls — all while maintaining a sense of warmth that matched their brand.
The work balanced conversion strategy, clear information architecture, and performance optimization so the site could support business growth immediately after launch.
Approach
Platform Selection
WordPress with a custom Divi child theme gave the Amigo marketing team the editorial flexibility they needed, while keeping the front-end fast and the builder accessible to non-technical staff.
Custom Integration
We built the JE Zip Lookup plugin from scratch — an AJAX-powered service that dynamically qualifies visitors by ZIP code and surfaces the right plans without a full page reload.
CRO Infrastructure
VWO and Google Optimize were integrated for continuous testing. Headlines, plan layouts, and CTAs were versioned and measured so that every quarter, the site improved based on real behavior — not assumptions.
Performance Optimization
We applied custom caching rules, deferred non-critical scripts, and refined the child theme's CSS overrides to keep page speed healthy while preserving every pixel of the brand identity.
Bilingual Strategy
English and Spanish content were maintained as true parallel experiences — not just translations. We configured hreflang tags, a seamless language toggle in the enrollment funnel, and bilingual form handling throughout.
