Project Overview
Designing a focused digital experience
Interactive Energy Group needed to rebuild their flagship comparison platform to stay competitive in Texas. The old experience was slow, cluttered, and didn't provide clear enough guidance for shoppers who weren't sure what to look for in an electricity plan.
The work balanced conversion strategy, clear information architecture, and performance optimization so the site could support business growth immediately after launch.
Approach
How the project was executed
Market Audit
We studied how competing comparison sites structured their ZIP-to-plan flows and identified where users were getting confused or bailing. That research shaped every decision in the redesigned architecture.
Interface Build
We adapted the Divi framework to support high-density plan tables while keeping the interface feel clean and approachable — a difficult balance in data-heavy energy comparison UIs.
Engine Optimization
We built out localized 'Power to Choose' guide pages to capture search traffic from users doing early research. These content clusters drove qualified organic visits with strong purchase intent.
Conversion Audit
We traced the full enrollment handoff to external provider sites and tightened the experience at every transition point to minimize confusion and reduce mid-funnel drop-off.
